PORSCHE 911 RSR 2017
It was at the Los Angeles show that Porsche decided to lift the veil on its new Porsche 911 RSR. And surprise: the Stuttgart brand has advanced the flat-6 in order to make it a central motorized rider.
The 911 has built a reputation for its flat-6 on the rear axle. but for the raw Porsche 911 RSR 2017, who will participate including the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the GTE category, porsche breaks the codes by choosing a mid-engine architecture. this modification should allow a better distribution of the masses between the front and rear of the vehicle.
THE POUP IS REFINED
Aesthetically, the passage to a central engine is reflected by the arrival of vents at the level of the custodes and the rear window, the flat-6 being housed just below it now. there is also a considerably sharp rear part, which allowed Porsche to equip the Porsche 911 RSR with a much larger air diffuser.
The flat-6 4.0 of the Porsche 911 RSR develops up to 510 hp (depending on the size of the inlet flanges) or the maximum power allowed in GTE.
