NEW PORSCHE PANAMERA 4E-HYBRID INSPIRED BY THE 918 SPYDER
Unveiled in late June, the new Panamera today goes to the plug-in hybrid thanks to this E-Hybrid version that differs from its predecessor in many ways.
The big difference that the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid can be detected in its name: «4» is actually right there to signify that the electrified sedan has four-wheel drive. It is therefore no longer a simple propulsion fire as the Panamera S E-Hybrid. And this is just one of many improvements introduced on the new Panamera Hybrid.
2.5 L / 100 KM AND 0 TO 100 KM / H IN 4.6 SECONDS
One of them obviously concerns the power that has been a significant increase. If the previous model developing 416 hp and 590 Nm combined, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid claimed for its part 462 hp and 700 Nm.
The mechanical heart has unsurprisingly nothing to do: 3.0 V6 compressor of the Panamera S E-Hybrid is here replaced by the 2.9 V6 biturbo introduced on the new Panamera 4S -but however deflated to 330 hp (440 against) under the hood of the hybride- while the electric motor which develops alone 136 hp and 400 Nm, benefits from the experience collected during the development of the 918 Spyder. Another important innovation: the arrival of the PDK dual-clutch gearbox and 8 reports instead of the former planetary gear box.
The battery capacity is growing further from 9.4 to 14.1 kWh, enough to carry the 100% electric autonomy of 50 km (14 km) and allow certified consumption of only 2.5 l / 100 km. However, the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid does not forget to be a real sport and can boast down the 0 to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds and run up to 278 km / h.
If the presentation of the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid will be held at the end of the month at the Paris Motor Show, its marketing has already started in Germany, where it is trading against 107,553 euros.
